Tunji has been a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God since 1987 and is an ordained pastor with a Master of Divinity degree from East Asia School of Theology, Singapore, where he graduated with Academic Excellence award in 2010. He and his wife have served in Overseas’ missions for over fifteen years which has taken them to a number of countries as missionary, pastor, and church planter; as well as providing leadership training and manpower development for churches and christian ministries.
Tunji is committed to helping others grow and become disciples of Christ. He’s a passionate Bible teacher with great interest in studying and accurately dividing the Word of God. He’s presently pursuing higher studies in Transformational Leadership. Tunji brings to The Glory Centre many years of cross-cultural experiences in leadership, training, counselling, mentoring and pastoral care. He also serves as a Chaplain at one of the Salvation Army ministries in Brandon where he provides compassionate spiritual care to both the residents, staff and their families.
Previously, Tunji worked at Brandon Correctional Centre where he provided support for the Inmates— doing Case Management and programming to help them deal with issues that bring them into conflict with the law. He also worked for a couple of years with Initiatives for Just Communities in Steinbach MB (El’dad Ranch) where he did outreaches, mentoring and training for both program participants and staff.
Initially trained as a Veterinary Surgeon involved in both small and large animal practice, Tunji once worked as a Senior Veterinary Officer for the Government of Seychelles, a tourist destination in the Indian Ocean, before embracing a lifetime of service as a missionary.
Tunji is married to Aderonke, also an ordained Minister, a certified Health Coach and conference speaker with additional qualifications in Biblical Studies, Early Childhood Education, and Counselling Psychology. She has been serving alongside her husband in missions—teaching, counselling, working with women and children, and preparing young adults for marriage.
Presently, she’s pursuing a degree in Psychology/Sociology at Brandon University. They are both blessed with three children – Deborah, Esther and Enoch, all of whom are fully involved in the ministry as well.
